Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Mr. Tan King Aun assumed the role of Executive Director at the Company on July 30, 2020, and later took on the position of CEO on December 27, 2021.
Mr. Tan has played an integral role in shaping the Company’s strategic direction within the columbarium business, actively engaging with all stakeholders. This includes his participation in critical working meetings with building consultants, Trustees, auditors, legal and tax advisers, bankers, government agencies, and professionals in the bereavement industry. His one-and-a-half-year immersion in this industry has further solidified his reputation as a dependable and trusted senior management professional. His extensive background includes significant stints at renowned companies such as the Hong Leong Manufacturing Group, the Royal Selangor Pewter Group, Pernas Sime Darby, and Turquand, Youngs & Co.
Mr. Tan holds a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Strategic Marketing from The University of Hull, United Kingdom, and a Diploma in Management Studies from HKMA/HK Polytechnic University. He was also a Member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), The British Institute of Management (UK), and an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
Among his noteworthy professional and managerial roles were his tenure as General Manager (Hong Kong) for Royal Selangor (HK) Ltd from 1987 to 1995. Within the Hong Leong Industries Bhd subsidiaries, he served as the Head of Projects Sales for Guocera Marketing Sdn Bhd from 1995 to 2015, and as General Manager (Sales) for Hume Cemboard Industries Sdn Bhd from 2015 to 2017.
Mr. Tan’s diverse and extensive experience across industries and his dedication to the Company’s success make him an invaluable asset to our team as we move forward with our strategic initiatives in the columbarium business.
Executive Director
Mr. Pang Sar assumed a pivotal role on the Company’s Board on September 3, 2021, as both the Executive Director and a significant shareholder of the organization.
Mr. Pang holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Civil Engineering, an achievement earned at the esteemed University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. He proudly carries the membership of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, and boasts the distinction of being a Registered Professional Engineer recognized by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
Furthermore, Mr. Pang concurrently holds the positions of major shareholder, Executive Director, and CEO at Econpile Holdings Berhad, a prominent specialist in piling and foundation construction. Econpile Holdings Berhad is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities, a testament to Mr. Pang’s leadership and strategic vision.
With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Pang has amassed extensive experience in managing both on-site and off-site responsibilities in the specialized piling and foundation sector. Before his tenure at Econpile Holdings Berhad, which commenced in 1991, he served in various capacities, including Resident Engineer and Project Manager, in consultant firms and construction companies. Mr. Pang’s adeptness in steering a reputable, publicly listed enterprise makes him an invaluable advisor to our Company.
Mr. Pang brings to the table a wealth of insights in the domains of development strategies and planning, all underpinned by professionalism and unwavering business integrity. His seasoned expertise and commitment make him an indispensable asset to our management team as we chart our course forward.
General Manager
Mr. Martin Shek Wai Hong became an integral part of our team in October 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the bereavement care services industry. With an impressive background, he boasts four (4) years of senior-level experience in the business development department, where he played a pivotal role in driving growth and innovation.
In addition to his extensive experience in bereavement care, Mr. Shek has accumulated a remarkable eight (8) years of exposure in various crucial domains, including sales and marketing functions, credit control, and administrative responsibilities. His diverse career has encompassed roles in a Bursa Malaysia-listed building and property development company, as well as positions within companies operating in the information technology and education sectors.
At present, Mr. Shek shoulders the responsibility of leading our Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Business Development functions. His multifaceted expertise and seasoned perspective make him a valuable asset to our management team as we continue to grow and provide exceptional services to our clients.
